The fourth drawing in my series, “Portraits from the Community,” is of Rohan Zhou-Lee (@diaryofafirebird). Rohan is a queer, non-binary Black Asian writer, dancer, trumpeter, and community organizer based in New York City.
Rohan has accomplished incredible work, including founding The Blasian March and The Blasian Book Fair. The Blasian March kicks off its 2023 series of in-person events in Chinatown with the second annual Black Asian Book Fair. This event provides free literature from Black, Asian, and Blasian authors to attendees, fostering understanding and connection across communities.
