Archival Pigment Prints
To celebrate the relaunch of my website, I’m thrilled to offer limited edition archival pigment prints on canvas for purchase. This first edition is limited to five prints of each piece. Each print includes a 1.5-inch bleed for stretching and framing, and they are hand-embellished with a splash of color, signed, numbered, and dated.
Why Archival Pigment Prints?
Archival pigment prints are museum-quality pieces, created using refined pigment particles to produce stunning, high-resolution artwork. These prints are designed to last for decades, if not centuries, thanks to two key components: the ink and the canvas.
- Archival Ink: Far more resistant to fading than dye-based inks, archival inks provide greater scratch resistance and exceptional color stability.
- Archival Canvas: Known for its longevity, canvas prints resist fading and wear, making them an excellent investment for your home or office.
With proper care and standard lighting conditions:
- Prints last approximately 200 years in an album,
- 80 years behind glass,
- And 50 years without glass.
However, like all artwork, direct exposure to UV light (sunlight) will accelerate fading.
Enhanced Matte Paper Prints
Prints are also available on enhanced matte paper, offering a unique alternative. This smooth matte paper delivers deep blacks akin to glossy paper but with a softer finish. Vibrant and saturated colors pop beautifully, while earth tones and black-and-white images are rendered with incredible depth.
Enhanced matte paper has an ultra-smooth surface, making it particularly effective for portraits. Its inherent quality ensures it looks stunning under any lighting condition, without worrying about glare or viewing angles.
