The building that houses the Chinese American Museum of Chicago has a rich history. Originally home to the Quong Yick Co. warehouse, it became the museum’s location in 2005. In 2008, the building was devastated by a fire, but thanks to the unwavering support of dedicated community partners and friends, both the structure and its collection were carefully restored. Today, it proudly stands as the only Chinese American museum in the Midwest.
