11 dragons fly over Seattle Chinatown-International District. They range in size from 12 to 200 feet and can weigh up to 300lbs. It took two years, a high-tech production-design firm, a couple of sculptors, a boatbuilder, a painter and a feng shui expert to create these dragons which look delicate but are made to withstand winds up to 90 mph.
Seattle CID is home to many different cultures from Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and Filipinos. The sculptures were designed to help the area maintain its identity in the shadow of Safeco and Lumen Field.
Limited Edition Prints: All archival prints are printed on canvas and come with at least 1.5 inch bleed so they can be stretched and framed. They are also hand embellished with a splash of color, signed, numbered, and dated. This is the inaugural set of prints, and will be limited to 5 total prints of each piece. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipping.
