Corky was a Chinese-American activist, community organizer, photographer, journalist, and the self-proclaimed unofficial Asian American Photographer Laureate. I never meet Corky but in honor of his work, I want to extend this series “Portraits from the Community” out indefinitely. There are so many incredible unsung heroes that do so much for the community day in and day out not just in May. True art educate, inspires and empowers us, I would like to think Corky lives on in all of us!
